Customer Reviews :
This is a fantastic penhold table tennis racket. *BE WARNED - If you do not play with a penhold grip, you will not even really be able to play ping pong with this paddle, as the back side has no rubber and the handle is really only useful to hold if you happen to be a midget or an infant*
That being said, the racket has performed excellently since I received it. It is rated as the fastest and most spinable of the penhold rackets Butterfly produces, which had me a little worried that I would be launching everything way past the table, but I have been really pleasantly surprised to find that, though it has excellent spin and speed, my control has not suffered in the least, despite Butterfly's rating of 60 for it in the control category. Since I received it, my play has improved dramatically.
The build of the racket is solid, and it is one of the lighter paddles I have ever used (before now I have been playing with traditional paddles). I will add that I did take a small nail clip file and sand down the edges where my hand/fingers wrapped around the paddle, as they feel a little sharp after a few minutes. All of that took about 30 seconds, and the racket is very comfortable now to play with for extended periods of time.
This is my first butterfly racket, but this far I have been extremely impressed. I highly recommend this paddle to any penhold player looking for a relatively inexpensive, but formidable, racket.
I like it light. - Li Mei Li - Chicago, IL
it's very light. so i can swing very fast for good attacks and loops. but because it's light, i need to add a little more juice on the slices; overall, a pretty good racquet. though you might want some better rubber.
Not impressive - M. KRANJC - Macomb, Illinois
The rubber is rather slow and the spin is OK but no more. I thought I was upgrading from my old racket but as soon as I hit a few balls I rushed and switched to the old one. I think that I will take the rubber off and replace it with a good rubber. I like Butterfly Tempest and my present rubber Nittaku Hurricane. Satori does not come close to either of them.
great penhold racquet - B. Gurung - san diego, ca, usa
One of the best racquet for the price... I had been looking for penhold racquets for quite a long time!! I tried butterfly japenese penhold... it was light, but pretty slow. But this is amazing! Speed and Spin - too good.. As expected of all penhold racquets, it has rubber only on one side. Build is nice, very light and nice grip.. I didn't have any problem holding it even after playing continuously for more than one hour! If you are looking for penhold racquet that is fast and light, look no further!!!
